I figured I'd have to read this book before any U.S. movie came out so I might as well get started with the series. I definitely thought it was an entertaining read. I am not usually into this sort of genre but it was pretty good. What I found though, was that I wasn't sure that I "connected" completely with the heroine that Mr. Larsson portrays. I love the concept of Lisbeth and she should have been a character that I would fall in love with. However, and maybe I am being judgmental because the author is male, I felt that he didn't truly understand the psyche of women in general and wasn't able to give Lisbeth (or any other female character in the novel) that depth that I was looking for. However, overall the book was satisfying and I'm looking forward to continuing on with the series.
