I didn't see much promise for this series after book 1, but by the end of book 2, I knew I was hooked on the story! It got SO much better as it progressed. I think part of the reason why I couldn't get into it was lack of identification with a barbie-like main character and the fact that I couldn't see Barrons as a romantic interest. I couldn't see past the steel-toed, silk-shirted, long-haired, six foot plus, highly masculine male. But...then I grew to love the characters. I was able to really enjoy this world. I loved Dani, and I'm so glad there is going to be a new series about her!
